Real Time. Real Time. Isn't it great to be alive?

I. We. You. Me. Together and apart stare into our phones. Tablets. Computer monitors and laptops.

I. We. You. Me. Need to know. Stay up to date. Or else we perish...digitally.

Where has my focus vanished? I'm ADD and medicated...but what is your excuse. Just five years ago my "normal" friends could focus in ways I could never imagine...without proper meds. Now he, she, they, and them stare into that screen and Refresh. Wait. Click it again.

Will working memory find its place again? Or did we hand over the reigns to unseen machinery in a can?

Quantity and efficiency do not hold qualities to be worshipped. Yet, we bring, every second, our sacrifice to its altar.
